Get ready for Alf Hale’s new album ‘Seven’

FFO: Johnny Cash, Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle

Alf has toured the world in various bands, but then took a long break, causing him to restart his musical journey in April 2017, with debut solo EP ‘Misanthrope’.

But, after the success of two subsequent albums, Alf has returned yet again with the release of third album ‘Seven’ due for release on July 31st.

Although, lucky for us, ahead of the release of ‘Seven’ Alf has announced it’s leading single ‘Glory Bound’. It’s the closest Alf has come to a gospel song, it’s simple and pure with an easy beat but it truly showcases his love of producing Folk, Blues and Southern American Country music.

Speaking about the writing process, Alf revealed “I've kept the music quite understated, alongside lyrical insights into the joys and hardships of living. This album is especially important to me as my eldest son Denver played bass on three of the tracks. A very proud moment for me.”

The album’s collection of songs shine a light on Hale’s inherent ability to couple his heart-on-sleeve lyrics and raw vocals with delicate guitar playing, telling a great story with such understated simplicity.

Keep an eye out for Seven which will be released on July 31st, on all major streaming platforms!

But for now, give ‘Glory Bound’ a watch on youtube below:
