Introducing ALLEYWAYS: Leeds DIYpop Quintet who are back with their new release ‘Over It’

Hailing from the North, the funky five-piece are back with the release of ‘Over It’, and it’s the perfect medicine for your cabin fever. They assured us it would be ‘a certified banger’ and they certainly haven’t left us disappointed.

The new release is a vibrant, feel-good tune giving a fusion of the classic indie music we all love and melody-driven pop. With their last single ‘Dumb’ attracting five thousand streams in just a month, I’m sure ‘Over It’ will follow in its footsteps.

Alleyways have supported the likes of King No One, Glass Caves and our personal favourites Cassia. And in doing so, have enchanted audiences with their unique sound and attracted a cult following across the North which I’m sure will soon be national, worldwide even.

Frontman Dougie Turner comments: “I feel this song captures the energy we had whilst writing it, and the meaning behind this track is something very important to us. We are a generation living our lives online, so it is crucial that we don’t regress socially. Now more than ever is a time we need to be reminded that community and connection in the real world is what drives us and ties us together. I’m also in love with the positivity that comes off this track, the energy it has from start to finish and that classic ALLEYWAYS sound that will get everyone moving.”

So, give it a listen below and prepare for the lyrics to be on repeat in your mind after one listen!
