Returning and blessing us with a new indie-pop tune, Sam Seccombe is here with the release of ‘Unboyfriend’.
Opening with a flawless guitar instrumental, which later effortlessly fades away, Sam’s authentic vocals are bursting with emotion as he sings about a rapidly deteriorating relationship and seeking escape. You can’t help but feel empathy as he sings, ‘treat me like a joke’ / ‘cling to every hope’. I mean we’ve all been, there haven’t we? Someone’s left us feeling unappreciated and we’re unsure where to turn.
With every release, Sam gets better and better. Now as he’s moved from London to Manchester, I look forward to seeing the mark he makes on the Manc music scene.
