Ten Hands High drop new single ‘6 Weeks’ just in time for summer

Made in Leeds, based in London – Ten Hands High are one of the fastest upcoming bands on the music scene to date. The indie quartet has released their new single ‘6 Weeks’, and boy is it good.

2019 brought the year of the release of their debut single and playing several packed out shows in their hometown of Leeds. The musical inspiration kept on flowing for the boys, releasing five singles in five months and selling out their debut London headline at The Hope and Anchor in Islington.

With their rapidly growing fan base and their well-crafted tunes, it’s no surprise they have supported the likes of my favourites, Luna Bay, Spilt Milk Society, and The Clause.

The instrumental for ‘6 Weeks’ was birthed back in 2014, but the song was later penned in a “grimey Leeds uni house in Hyde Park”. Good things take time, and ‘6 Weeks’ is a perfect example of that.

Unapologetically truthful and upbeat, the song tells the story of a summer romance in jeopardy ‘I don’t wanna call it a fling / but you’re not my everything’. With the high energy and upbeat tempo present throughout, soaring guitar riffs, and undoubtedly authentic vocals, ‘6 Weeks’ is undeniably a song to soundtrack your summer.

Watch this space, Ten Hands High are blowing up and I don’t doubt they’ll be headlining all your favourite festivals next summer.
